The Valley starts in the north at the Town of Golden, continuing south about 2 hours drive to the Town of Cranbrook. Both of these Resorts offer Natural therapeutic Hot Pools that are visited by thousands every year.

In between these resorts you will find the Town of Invermere nestled on the Windermere Lake and the Panorama Mountain Village only 20 minutes to the west where you will find some of B.C.’s best winter skiing. The Valley is tucked between the spectacular Purcell mountain range on the west and the famous Canadian Rockie mountains on the east. The Columbia Valley has become a tourist hotspot for visitors to vacation whether it be summer of winter. With a short 1 hour drive to Banff and only 3 hours to Calgary, Alberta; the Valley offers international travellers the opportunity to visit this spectacular area.

Recreational activities are in such abundance that all who visit should be able to find just what they need. There are all kinds of rental shops for toys such as boats, seadoos, canoes, ATV’s, Snowmobiles and even hot tubs. You will find some of the best golf courses in British Columbia with views that will take your breath away. The Upper Columbia Valley Wetlands are internationally recognized and offer birdwatcher’s the ability to travel the river by canoe for a truly amazing adventure. Watch for the annual Birds over the Rockies event the first weekend of May.
